Idag invigdes Uno Lamm HVDC Center på ABB i Ludvika. Ett 100-tal inbjudna gäster deltog i invigningen av det nya komplexet med kontor, verkstad och provyta för kontrollutrustning, och det var Komplexet har fått namn efter Dr. Uno Lamm, som började utvecklingen av tekniken i slutet av 1920-talet och som ofta benämns ”HVDC-teknikens fader”. För att ytterligare hedra sina pionjärer är konferensrummen i byggnadens besökscentrum uppkallade efter framstående HVDC-profiler och flera av dem var närvarande vid invigningen.
